Bleh. Leave the code the way it is! I can totally understand altering any messages that a user will see directly, but to change comments in the code is "uncool" ;-) I think it gives Linux source a certain... character... :-)
No need to offend a user, but any kernel hacker should be able to see what a coder was feeling at the time of writing particular parts of code. I like the colorful comments :)
