in the pursuit of correcting someone wrongly (because that is what this
thread is all about), please correct my following statement ;)

[root@anduin ~]# dmesg | grep NET4
Linux NET4.0 for Linux 2.2
NET4: Linux TCP/IP 1.0 for NET4.0
NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0 for Linux NET4.0.
