I have a Hauppauge Model 401 WinTv card (with "dbx-TV stereo and FM radio". I can now get the video to display just fine, and the radio works just fine. But... I can not get and sound out of the TV part. I have added the following to my /etc/conf.modules to load everything:
alias char-major-81 bttv options tuner type=2 options bttv radio=1 vidmem=0xe00 post-install bttv exec `/sbin/modprobe msp3400; /sbin/modprobe tuner; /usr/local/bin/v4l-conf -q`
And this works just fine -- except for the sound. As I said, the radio works just fine (as do all other sound things) so it isn't the kernel sound drivers. Anybody know what I am doing wrong?
This is what I see in the kernel log when I start xawtv:
Linux version 2.1.105 (root@dillweed) (gcc version egcs-2.90.28 980423 (egcs-1.0.3 prerelease)) #1 Sun Jun 7 15:38:11 MDT 1998 ... Linux video capture interface: v0.01 ALPHA i2c: initialized bttv: Brooktree Bt848 (rev 18) bus: 0, devfn: 88, irq: 9, memory: 0xe1004000. bttv: 1 Bt848 card(s) found. bttv: model: HAUPPAUGE i2c: bus registered: bt848-0 i2c: driver registered: msp3400 i2c: driver registered: tuner i2c: device attached: tuner (addr=0xc2, bus=bt848-0, driver=tuner) bttv: PCI display adapter: Matrox Mystique. bttv: Video memory override: 0xe0000000
Does anybody have a Hauppauge WinTv card where the TV audio works? If so, what are you doing that I'm missing here?
