Mine doesn't work when I fresh boot my machine into Linux 2.1.105, with these messages in syslog when running xawtv: Jun 8 18:02:32 gro kernel: msp3400: I/O error, trying reset (write Audio 0x9) Jun 8 18:02:32 gro kernel: msp3400: I/O error, trying reset (write Audio 0xe) Jun 8 18:02:32 gro kernel: msp3400: I/O error, trying reset (write Audio 0x6) Jun 8 18:02:32 gro kernel: msp3400: I/O error, trying reset (write Audio 0x1) Jun 8 18:02:32 gro kernel: msp3400: I/O error, trying reset (write Audio 0x3) Jun 8 18:02:32 gro kernel: msp3400: I/O error, trying reset (read Audio 0x1e) Jun 8 18:02:32 gro kernel: msp3400: I/O error, trying reset (read Audio 0x1f)
But when I reboot to windows, run the wintv app, then reboot to Linux it works!
Still something else is wrong: ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE: No buffer space available ioctl VIDIOCMCAPTURE: No buffer space available
which makes for all kinds of weird effects in the channel window of xawtv (mismatched images and channel names).
My card is a WinTV-radio 419.
