After patching setup.S manually to get it to boot (Linus's switches to 0x00 and 0x10 work for me), I get a hard lockup under X. I believe this is related to the soundblaster drivers as it locks only after playing any sound. The sound plays fine, then it hangs. I've tried it several times, and the system is fine _during_ the playing of sound, however when the playing halts the system locks. I can't provide any more debug info as it's dead after that.
Running 2.1.106, real SB16, gcc 2.7.2.3, 64 MB, Pentium-150. Let me know if you want me to try something...
thanks,
dave
