Hi!
After downloading the complete 2.1.129 kernel's sources I called make with xconfig. It works fine except for special SVGA settings: They have been grayed out. After make menuconfig and restarting make xconfig the settings have been selectable. Hm?!?
Why are the soundblaster settings grayed out (IRQ, DMA ...)?
Sound works fine under 2.0.36 but not under 2.1.129. cat /dev/sndstat shows empty fields.
bttv doesn't work for me.
Also PPP results in "Invalid frames" or "Maybe the network is down" under 2.1.129, but no problems with 2.0.36.
