But what can be done when __builtin_return_address doesn't work for the typical end user? The hack of using ((void **)&first_arg)[-1] is hardly acceptable accross platforms (or even within inline functions). Some debugging messages need to be made more thorough as bug reports are more frequently coming from end-users...
