It should be updated - a lot of people (especially in Europe) absolutely depend on ISDN support. The current CVS version is well tested (mostly everyone uses it because it's better than the one included in the kernel.
The CVS version won't compile with 2.2.0, though - unless you apply the patch I've attached.
