Hello gentlemans,
I have problem with my Lenovo X230 laptop together with Lenovo Mini Dock 3 with USB3.0 http://shop.lenovo.com/cz/cs/laptops/thinkpad/x-series/x230/ http://www.lenovoquickpick.com/mex/accessory/433715U/thinkpad-mini-dock-series-3-with-usb
laptop docks fine but I have problem with wrongly reported USB power for dock ports:
[ 4688.787446] thinkpad_acpi: docked into hotplug port replicator [ 4688.883040] usb 2-1.8: new high-speed USB device number 13 using ehci-pci [ 4688.975349] usb 2-1.8: New USB device found, idVendor=0000, idProduct=0000 [ 4688.975353] usb 2-1.8: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0 [ 4688.975665] hub 2-1.8:1.0: USB hub found [ 4688.975726] hub 2-1.8:1.0: 7 ports detected [ 4688.975846] hub 2-1.8:1.0: insufficient power available to use all downstream ports
The computer is properly connected to the power:
root@ThinkPad-X230:/home/cijoml# cat /sys/class/power_supply/AC/online 1
However I can't use even original USB3 Net adapter which requires on 180mA:
[ 5418.679943] usb 2-1.8.5: new high-speed USB device number 15 using ehci-pci [ 5418.773363] usb 2-1.8.5: New USB device found, idVendor=17ef, idProduct=7205 [ 5418.773382] usb 2-1.8.5: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=6 [ 5418.773384] usb 2-1.8.5: Product: Thinkpad USB LAN [ 5418.773385] usb 2-1.8.5: Manufacturer: Lenovo [ 5418.773386] usb 2-1.8.5: SerialNumber: 000001000000 [ 5418.773624] usb 2-1.8.5: rejected 2 configurations due to insufficient available bus power [ 5418.773626] usb 2-1.8.5: no configuration chosen from 2 choices
Can anyone please help? It is probably wrongly detected.
I use Ubuntu 16.04 with Vanilla Linux kernel 4.7
Thank you
Best regards
Michal
