    Hi,

    I get this with both clean v2.6.26 and latest -git

    This corresponds to "jh" being NULL in journal_dirty_metadata():

    if (jh->b_modified == 0) {

    I also tried with this patch, but without success:

    http://folk.uio.no/vegardno/linux/jbd-transaction.patch

    so the problem seems quite reproducible by intentionally corrupting a
    disk image.

    "The animistic metaphor of the bug that maliciously sneaked in while
    the programmer was not looking is intellectually dishonest as it
    disguises that the error is the programmer's own creation."
