Not in truncate:

newattrs.ia_size = length;
newattrs.ia_valid = ATTR_SIZE | ATTR_CTIME;

down(&dentry->d_inode->i_sem);
err = notify_change(dentry, &newattrs);
up(&dentry->d_inode->i_sem);
return err;
}
