Subject[PATCH] Alpha compile fixes for 2.5.7
First let me say sorry, I'm using Pine, I think it will mangle the white
space if I inline the patch, so it made it an attatchment (if I continue
with this kernel hacking I'll find a better way to do this).

These were the changes I had to make to get 2.5.7 to compile (still
doesn't link) on my Alpha with my config. There may need to be some other
changes, but this is a start.

The changes needed to get it to link will probally touch all platforms, so
I'll leave that alone.

-Chris
