SubjectIRQ routing conflict with Presario 700
Hello,

A few weeks ago there was a discussion about an irq routing conflict with
a Compaq Presario 700 laptop (Via integrated chipset KN133). As a
by-product, the sound on this laptop is non-operational (with both the
kernel module via82cxxx_audio and ALSA snd-card-via686a). The BIOS of
this machine does not have a "non-pnp OS" option. At that time Jeff Garzik
asked for 'dmesg -s 16384' output with #define DEBUG 1 in pci-i386.h. I
bought the same laptop and that problem still exist with kernel 2.4.16 so
I'm providing the information asked:
