I see that 2.4.0-test6-pre5 incorporates the synflood patch for netfilter.
There is a problem between netsyms.c and netfilter/*.c (duplicate
EXPORT_SYMBOL):

Script started on Sat Aug 5 11:38:26 2000

root@cyrix:/usr/src/linux/net# cat a
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ip_ftp_lock);
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_register_table);
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_unregister_table);
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_register_match);
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_unregister_match);
root@cyrix:/usr/src/linux/net# for i in `cat a`; do
for> echo netsyms.c:
for> grep $i netsyms.c
for> echo netfilter/*.c:
for> grep $i ipv4/netfilter/*.c
for> done
netsyms.c:
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ip_ftp_lock);
netfilter/*.c:
ipv4/netfilter/ip_conntrack_ftp.c:EXPORT_SYMBOL(ip_ftp_lock);
netsyms.c:
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_register_table);
netfilter/*.c:
ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.c:EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_register_table);
netsyms.c:
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_unregister_table);
netfilter/*.c:
ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.c:EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_unregister_table);
netsyms.c:
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_register_match);
netfilter/*.c:

netsyms.c:
EXPORT_SYMBOL(ipt_unregister_match);
netfilter/*.c:

root@cyrix:/usr/src/linux/net# exit

I fixed that by commenting lines in netsyms.c. Is this right?
