(This didn't seem to hit the list the first time I sent it; here's another try)
First, I'd like to point to the September, 1999 archives of some similar problems I was having... Since those previous problems, I haven't wanted to reboot the machine...
I just recompiled for 2.2.14, rebooted, and got the following errors. The config file is below the errors; after that, the startup messages of the 2.2.13 kernel that I'm using (successfully). The good kernel that I'm using may have a different config, though. In particular, I might have been using the "other" EATA driver. I'm suspicious of the EATA drivers, but I'm not sure where to start; and since this is a production box, I don't want to try very many "errors" associated with "trial and error" :P
