| |
Greetings,
In 2.2.12, /proc/cpuinfo reports two processors detected on my single-processor AlphaStation 200 4/233:
(bryan/bryan.1@neptune) ~ % cat /proc/cpuinfo cpu : Alpha cpu model : EV45 cpu variation : 7 cpu revision : 0 cpu serial number : system type : Avanti system variation : 0 system revision : 0 system serial number : 1 cycle frequency [Hz] : 233100233 timer frequency [Hz] : 1024.00 page size [bytes] : 8192 phys. address bits : 34 max. addr. space # : 63 BogoMIPS : 230.16 kernel unaligned acc : 0 (pc=0,va=0) user unaligned acc : 0 (pc=0,va=0) platform string : AlphaStation 200 4/233 cpus detected : 2 (bryan/bryan.1@neptune) ~ %
Otherwise, the information is correct. When I look at the code for printing this information (from the hwrpb struct), I see that it is not filled in or deduced by the kernel at all, and comes straight from the firmware. Does the value need to be adjusted prior to output, or does my firmware have multiple-processor disorder? The firmware is SRM version is 6.8.
