as of kernel version 2.3.13 (this was not happening in 2.3.12), I encountered the following build problem:
/usr/src/linux/include/linux/blk.h:378: warning: `do_sd' defined but not used /usr/src/linux/include/linux/blk.h:402: warning: `do_sd_request' declared `static' but never defined scsi.h:637: warning: `end_scsi_request' defined but not used gcc -D__KERNEL__ -I/usr/src/linux/include -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -fno-strict-aliasing -pipe -fno-strength-reduce -DCPU=686 -march=i686 -c -o ncr53c8xx.o ncr53c8xx.c ncr53c8xx.c: In function `pci_get_base_address': ncr53c8xx.c:9636: structure has no member named `base_address' make[3]: *** [ncr53c8xx.o] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/misc/i/src/linux-2.3.13/drivers/scsi' make[2]: *** [first_rule] Error 2 make[2]: Leaving directory `/misc/i/src/linux-2.3.13/drivers/scsi' make[1]: *** [_subdir_scsi] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/misc/i/src/linux-2.3.13/drivers' make: *** [_dir_drivers] Error 2 make dep clean bzImage modules 2>& 1 98.82s user 12.63s system 68% cpu 2:41.54 total tee /tmp/linuxlog 0.01s user 0.20s system 0% cpu 2:41.53 total
Was this caused by this change in pci.h?
- unsigned long base_address[6]; + struct resource resource[6];
I do not follow the list, so if anyone responds to this (don't bother if I'm being dumb), I'd appreciate if you CC me.
Thanks,
Wesley
