Hi,
i was unable to move a file from one directory to another one on a `vfat' mounted partition:
# uname -a Linux vvv 2.2.0-final #2 Sun Jan 24 20:43:51 MSK 1999 i586 unknown # mount | grep /dosd /dev/hda2 on /dosd type vfat (rw,noexec,codepage=866,iocharset=koi8-r) # cd /dosd # mkdir test # cd test # touch filename # mv filename .. mv: cannot move `filename' to `../filename': No such file or directory
it i remount the same partition as `msdos', the behavior is correct.
Best regards, -- Vladimir.
