SubjectKernel 2.2.2 Compile problem dies in loopback.o

here is the text of the error when compiling on a BOG standard Redhat 5.2 with
all errata & kernel-2.2 updates applied.

This problem occurs on 3 different machines all x86, one 586 and 2 686
