If this one's been reported already, please ignore my stupid self :)
Got to work this morning to discover the Linux box on my desk in an Unhappy State(tm), characterised by no response the keyboard and no response to pings. Power cycling was the only option..
However, the logs contained two kernel opps fairly close to each other earlier in the weekend:

I'm running Debian 2.1 (slink), so the times correlate to the default cron.daily run time. I've had no problems with other 2.2.1 boxes running slink (there is one right beside it almost identically setup and it didn't opps)
It's probably not related, but on boot there's some floppy problems, the log is very long, so I won't post it unless it's an issue.
Hopefully this isn't a complete waste of everyone's time :)
