I moved from RH5.2 with 2.0.36 to 2.2.1 and aplied the patch 2.2.2-1 getting and error on boot up. ... hda: SAMSUNG SV0322A (3.20GB), 3052Mb w/490kb cache; CHS=775/128/63, UDMA ... Freeing unused kernel memory: 40k freed hda: dma_intr: error 0x51 {DriveReady SeekComplete Error} hda: dma_intr: error 0x84 {DriveStatusError BadCRC}
This check appears on drivers/block/ide.c & hd.c
Obviously din't mount any disk and didn't boot up.
Prevoiusly I made an upgrade of all versions required following "Moving to kernel 2.2" from linuxhq.
Machine: PentiumMMX 200 Mhz, 128 RAM DIMM, Motherboard PC100 AGP-Pro. It was working whithout problems with 2.0.36
