Tried that, but the problem remains the same

in telnet session:
[bert@bacove:/proc] $ cat cmdline
BOOT_IMAGE=new ro root=801 kbd-reset

meanwhile console scrolling 'sssss'es...

Message 'keyboard: unrecognized scancode (7f) - ignored' seems to come
from drivers/char/pc_keyb.c . BTW the keyboard-connector is the DIN-kind,
both 'genuine DIN' keyboard and PS/2 keyboard with DIN-adaptor give the
same result.
