Subject: Problem in configuring NE2000 driver during kernel compilation
Hello,
I am trying to upgrade my old 2.0.0 kernel by 2.0.34 kernel.
Everything has worked fine during compilation(this time i have used gcc 2.7.2), but when i booted the newkernel, it's not recognising the ethernet card- saying
module ne not found
Earlier for my /lib/modules/2.0.0/net contains
8390.o dummy.o new_tunnel.o ppp.o slip.o bsd_comp.o ne.o plip.o slhc.o
Now in /lib/modules/2.0.34/net it's having
8390.o dummy.o ne2k-pci.o ppp.o slip.o bsd_comp.o eql.o new_tunnel.o sdla.o dlci.o ibmtr.o plip.o slhc.o
I have tried
# insmod ne2k-pci and also # insmod ne2k-pci io=0x320
but both are not working.
what's wrong i have done.
Any help will be welcome
sachin
