Hi,
I've experienced some pretty bad throughput over my high-latency PPP link.
I've monitored the situation somewhat more precise and sometimes have 40 (!) second latencies and hence the window should scale to some 120 kB to give full throughput...
This seems to happen correctly, but every 7 to 10 seconds the throughput falls back to .6 kB/s to grow up to 2.6 kB and then fall back again.
After a quick glance over the source code, the TCP window scaling code looks a bit suspect, but maybe there's something else that could be causing it. Since I don't want to make my phonebill twice the cost it should have had, I'm asking this here.
