Got a non-fatal oops while doing what? ls. ;-) Here's the info from the log files. Previous to this, I had been playing with the parport modules and kmod. I had been repeatedly loading/unloading the various parport modules (and soun d modules also)(btw,I still don't have my printer working right, lpd reports that it's "waiting for lp to become ready (offline ?)". Even after following the directions in the parport.txt, letting kmod do the trick doesn't load parport_pc, but even manually loading the parport modules (parport, parport_pc, parport_probe) doesn't help.
