Hi,
Using a stable kernel up to now, I tried (after a longer break, last was 2.1.89) a development kernel again (2.1.107) just to see that my IBM/Cyrix 6x86L PR200+ isn't recognized :-(
By lurking the list I read about some problems wrt Cyrix <-> PII recognition, so: is there e.g. a bootprompt switch to force cyrix recognition, 'cause I think the Cyrix optimization code is in the kernel, just waiting to be activated, right? I think such will not harm - those who use it know what's in their computer (and it's _not_ a PII *sigh*).
