Subjectlarge disks (9gb) & ext2 experiences

Hello!

I am about to get my first large Linux disk and I am curious about the
performance with such a large partition and ext2fs. Can someone give
me some experiences - particularly about how mke2fs and fsck work with
them. My 4 gig disk sometimes gets upset with mke2fs and locks
up... very annoying. I'll bet that fsck'ing a pair of 9 gig
partitions will take quite some time.

Thanks,
Mark
