SubjectSCSI in kernel 2.0.34.
Hi,

The aic7xxx v5.0.14 driver seems broken, or something dependent inbetween.
I've seen posts about the new driver 5.0.19, but no mention about a fix
to my problem or similar problems, so I have not tried the last one. The
problem is on a Newsserver PII/233, ASUS MB, with two brand new 9Gig IBM
DGHS09U Ultra Wide disks connected to a Adaptec AHA-294X controller,
tag_info:{{24,24}}. There are one big md striped partition for news spool,
one normal for system and one swap. When I swiched from kernel
2.0.34pre10 to the real 2.0.34 it began generate lots of SCSI errors
and ext2fs errors on the partitions like this:

Jun 16 10:40:59 minox kernel: SCSI disk error : host 0 channel 0 id 1 lun 0 return code = 28000002
Jun 16 10:40:59 minox kernel: extra data not valid Current error sd08:11: sense key Hardware Error

Jun 16 10:44:42 minox kernel: EXT2-fs error (device 09:00): ext2_new_block: Free blocks count corrupted for block group 357

And so on. Several per day. I tried to swich down the transferrate to
20Mb/sek to see if it was a hardware problem, but it did not make any
difference. But swiching back to 2.0.34pre10 made it ok (yet).
