SubjectDHCP client fails on 2.1.90 and 2.1.104

I am running RedHat 5.1 with kernel 2.0.34 successfully using DHCP to get
the network information.

However, if I boot kernel 2.1.104 (or even 2.1.90) I cannot get the DHCP
client to work - it just tells me that DHCP failed.

The NIC drivers load ok (they are modules) and everything else seems the
same.

Would this be due to changes in the 2.1.xx kernel that somehow make it
different to the 2.0.xx kernels ??

Is anyone using DHCP with 2.1.90 or greater ?

Matt
