The above is true. (maybe you should also compare it to the vast number of applications in order to be fair)

The fact that RH and Debian are not shipping with KDE as the default (they do in their contrib sections) is a matter of _their_ policy not a legal restriction according to the license of KDE.

Well Alan was claiming that it is illegal to ship KDE on linux-kernel. Unfortunately due to these false rumours several vendors/users got confused already and I do not intend to let these lies spread further without making contrary statements in order to show everyone that even Alan can be wrong in his assumptions.
