Hi guys,
I know it is a wrong channel but there is no linux-interoperability channel so I thought I would quickly let you know in case someone was wondering how Linux coexists with "the other guys" :)
I have just installed a triple-boot machine with RedHat Linux 5.0, UnixWare 2.1.3 and UnixWare 7.0. And, despite the claim in LJ, there is absolutely *no* need to make UnixWare's partition active, LILO can successfully boot either of them -- just don't forget to install Linux last (because you want LILO to control MBR), then let RH5 install program select the UW7 and UW2 (which appear as GNU HURD, I should mail the fdisk maintainer asking to recognize UnixWare as a valid OS :) ) and you are all set.
Thanks, Tigran.
