Just a small note. 2.1.91 on a dual PentiumII/300mhz does a kernel compile itself (the kernel) with option -j (start as much compilers as you can in parallel) 25% faster than 2.0.33 (on the same machine). The machine has 256 megs of ram. Impressive!
This is in a xterm btw. X seems to run fine.
