SubjectBridge in 2.1.98 doesn't fell comfortable :-(
Date
Dear Alan,

Do you know bridge code doesn't seem to be good in 2.1.98?
I have got into troubles when trying to use it.

br.c seem to be incompatible with af_packet.c
when I compile my kernel with the bridging, af_packet module doesn't get
loaded.
When I compile my kernel with bridge and af_packet in kernel, but not in
modules,
my tcpdump works fine, but I have got kernel Ooppses when trying to enable
the bridge. If I disable it quikly, it's ok, If I don't the kernel hangs.

When I compile the kernel without af_packet and donesn't load the af_packet
module, it runs ok, even if I enable bridge, but I loose my network :-(
The interfaces doesn't work et all at that time, AND I have no af_packet to
take my tcpdump and figure what is going on there . . .

Is there any tips ?

Thanx in advance, Vladimir Senkov
