Subjectsporadic crc errors booting with lilo
Date
From

I just installed redhat 5.0 on the second hard disk of
a 486 system (this disk runs freebsd with no problems).

When I boot with lilo, I get sporadic, annoying "crc error" when
uncompressing the kernel.

I have no problem with running loadlin from the dos partition.

This is strange that its sporadic (about 70-80% of the time I get
crc error's).

Any ideas? For now, I'll just use lilo (cmp'ing the kernel in /boot with
a reference image on another disk shows no differences).
