Subjecteth0 TX Errors & Dropped Packets

Greets.

26 minutes after installing 2.1.90. :-)

So I /sbin/ifconfig, and I get the following:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:C0:76:3D:8D
inet addr:199.170.88.201 Bcast:199.170.88.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:3740 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
-> TX packets:3523 errors:18326 dropped:241 overruns:0 carrier:0 coll:0
Interrupt:5 Base address:0x290 Memory:cc000-d0000

Now, my ethernet card is an SMC Ultra, and I get no errors or dropped
packets with kernels before 2.1.90. And my netload meter for /dev/eth0
seems to think there's a helluva lot of traffic happening. There isn't.

Is anyone else having these problems? Do I need to provide more info?
Please help?

Thanks in advance,
bobby
