SubjectWhat are the plans for SIGRTMIN and SIGRTMAX in include/asm*/signal.h

I'm still learning, but in several of the include/asm*/signal.h
files the following lines can be found

/* These should not be considered constants from userland. */
#define SIGRTMIN 32
#define SIGRTMAX (_NSIG-1)

If these symbols are to be usable with linux, then shouldn't
the following simple C program compile and print out their values,
which it does on solaris.

#include <signal.h>
#include <stdio.h>
int main() {
printf("SIGRTMIN=%d\n", SIGRTMIN);
printf("SIGRTMAX=%d\n", SIGRTMAX);
}

What are the authors intentions for these symbols?
