I was configuring a kernel installation for v2.0.25 and the menuconfig program encountered a possible error in one of the kernel's configuration files, and was unable to continue. I was told to contact this e-mail address and report the bug. Menuconfig crashed when I accessed the general setup menu. The same crash took place in the later-dated file as well. I downloaded the source from ftp.linuxppc.org/linuxppc/pmac/kernel-source/v2.0/ . I downloaded both source pkgs, one dated 970218 and one dated 970204. Since both had the same problem, and I am having the hardest time compiling a new kernel, I would bet the problem is on my computer. My e-mail address is mafurlot@artsci.wustl.edu. I am running a Macintosh 7500 <ppc 604e 255MHz> 142 MB RAM, kernel v2.1.42, gcc 2.7.2.1. --Mike Furlotti
