I recently compiled a 2.0.36 kernel which went through successfully. I have no modules support built in the kernel, and no a-out support (elf kernel & elf support only). Now I'm getting a strange error from my syslog which states:
kernel: Symbol table has incorrect version number.
Ive been trying to figure out exactly whats causing this error. After searching the faqs, irc, and other sources, I havent been able to figure out exactly why this is being generated. Since I have no modules, then I would assume that would then mean this error should not come up -- but I'm confused seeing this error.
Any suggestions to fix this problem? (BTW, I'm running Slackware 3.5)
Thanks! Jon
