I am ***STILL*** getting an Oops generated with your big-scheduler-patch for 2.1.128. I have had this problem in all the versions you have published. It occurs while my system is booting and gets to the point when "mount -avt nonfs" runs in my rc.d/rc.S script. It specifically happens while attempting to mount /proc filesystem.
The difference today is that instead of hanging indefinitely and forcing me to hard-reset, for some reason it continued anyways and permitted me to get a snapshot of the Oops and run it through ksymoops.
While manually trying to mount /proc in a root console, I currently have mount stuck and /proc refuses to mount. :-/
The output from ksymoops follows:
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000004 current->tss.cr3 = 07ea7000, %cr3 = 07ea7000 *pde = 00000000 Oops: 0000 CPU: 0 EIP: 0010:[<c8826255>] EFLAGS: 00010286 eax: 00000000 ebx: c7d06000 ecx: c7e2dec4 edx: c7e2c000 esi: 00000301 edi: c7d06000 ebp: c7cd6400 esp: c7e2dd88 ds: 0018 es: 0018 ss: 0018 Process mount (pid: 14, process nr: 7, stackpage=c7e2d000) Stack: c7d06000 c7cd6400 c7e2ddd0 c008e000 00000001 c881f300 00000bb8 00000003 c0093280 c8826bb6 c7d06000 c7e2de0c c7e2de08 c7e2de04 c7e2dec4 c7e2de78 c7e2de10 c7cd6400 00000301 c7d06000 00000301 00000000 c7d1580a c7d3fc90 Call Trace: [<c881f300>] [<c8826bb6>] [<c011a3cf>] [<c0124fd3>] [<c01100cf>] [<c0115bad>] [<c0116436>] [<c012b208>] [<c882b663>] [<c882e35c>] [<c0127b52>] [<c0127fb3>] [<c882e132>] [<c882e132>] [<c01284e4>] [<c882e132>] [<c010892c>] Code: 8b 40 04 66 89 41 04 80 61 0e f0 66 c7 41 06 00 00 80 61 0e
