SubjectICMP masquerading

How is ICMP masquerading enabled in kernel 2.1.55? v2.0.30 would masquerade
ICMP packets (for ping/traceroute) automatically, but 2.1.55 does not seem
to do this. Am I doing something wrong?

I have done the following, which enables HTTP, etc, but ping/traceroute does
not yet work.

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forwarding
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_accept_redirects
echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_secure_redirects

/sbin/lsmod: (modutils-2.1.55)
