i think someone posted a bit back to make a copy if the kernel source tree with hard links, so that when you apply patches, you can still keep the old version handy, since patch copies the old file, and creates a new file....
if someone could post that again, i would be extremely grateful...
i could do it myself, i just dont feel like duplicating work....
