I waited for reporting this problem because i thought it was a bad floppy disc but now i am sure that there is a problem in the kernel
I've got a old pentium 60 with a 8 MB
and after compiling the kernel and trying to copy the zImage on the boot disc i always get
minitiger:/usr/src/linux # cp arch/i386/boot/zImage /dev/fd0 cp: /dev/fd0: No space left on device
->sometimes it copies to the disc in a endless loop (run i half an hour before i lost my nerves)
sometimes the kernel reports that it can't find /dev/fd0 (NEW: only 2.1.45 maybe 2.1.46 )
---> if you do the cp a second time than it works (without any message) ?????????
So what now?
