With the new kernel release comes a new broken drivers list. It looks like a lot of progress has been made; however, these drivers are still broken by the VFS changes:
net/netlink.c drivers/block/acsi_slm.c drivers/block/swim3.c drivers/char/acquirewdt.c drivers/char/apm_bios.c drivers/char/dsp56k.c drivers/char/fbmem.c drivers/char/h8.c drivers/char/lp_m68k.c drivers/char/softdog.c drivers/char/tpqic02.c drivers/char/wdt.c drivers/macintosh/adb.c [No mouse, keyboard!] drivers/scsi/53c7,8xx.c drivers/sound/dmasound.c fs/proc/net.c fs/proc/omirr.c fs/proc/openpromfs.c fs/umsdos [can someone confirm that this is broken?] net/wanrouter/wanproc.c [/proc data affected] arch/i386/kernel/mca.c [/proc entries affected] arch/ppc/kernal/ppc_htab.c [I've been told this is not serious] arch/sparc64/kernel/sys_sparc32.c [do_readv_writev32 -- confirmation, please?] drivers/char/ftape/kernel-interface.c drivers/sbus/audio/audio.c drivers/sbus/char/bpp.c drivers/sbus/char/sunkbd.c [No keyboard!] drivers/sbus/char/sunmouse.c [No mouse!]
Hopefully these will continue to be fixed incrementally in the 2.1.X kernels. If anyone is having trouble with one of the above drivers -- now you know why! --Scott @ @ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-oOO-(_)-OOo-=-=-=-=-= C.
