Here is a blast from the Past.. :)
Way back in the .8 and .9 days we talked about merging the PC-sound driver into the kernel so that linux would always have sound support. At the time it didn't happen. So last week I was once again patching my kernel to include this driver and thought maybe we could get it done now????
I have also noticed the new no sound module and thought it would be a good time to mention this issue again. So does anyone have any toughts etc. Personally I would like to have the PC sound driver in the kernel because... - We would always have a sound device for Linux - I have a laptop That dosen't have a fancy sound card.
Thanks for letting me wast bandwidth..
