Hi All,
I know that this is not exactly the most appropriate place for this message; however, it seems to have the most readers who are knowledgeable enough to help me.
I have had linux (2.0.0) configured to boot from my floppy drive. Recently, my floppy drive went belly-up. I need to find a way to boot linux so that I can set lilo to boot from the C: drive.
I have a homemade computer with the following configuration:
SuperMicro P55T2S -- Triton II motherboard w/ 133MHz Pentium and 40MB RAM 3 EIDE harddrives -- 2 1.0GB ATA-4 drives on the primary controller and 1 1.2GB ATA-3 drive on the secondary controller (These are used for Windoze '95 -- I wish I could erase it) 1 Number 9 Motion 771 PCI graphics card Adaptec 2940W PCI -- 1 1.2GB fast-wide SCSI 2 harddrive (Linux root partition) 1 3.0GB SCSI-2 harddrive -- nothing on it yet since I can't boot linux 1 Plextor 6x CDROM 1 Colorado 3200 Tape backup
The two SCSI harddrives are assigned 83H and 84H respectively.
Right now the only operating system I can boot is Windoze '95. Is there any way that I can boot my linux OS from within Windoze '95? If so, how? I need this just long enough to reconfigure Lilo.
Thanks in advance for any assistance, Andy Koepke
