I've got problems with tcp connections under 2.0.0, especially telnet, ftp and dns (named seem to hang repeatedly - I have to kill and restart it)
It begins to happen after a few hours of uptime - rebooting to machine will enable me to send this email :-)
here's a dump of 'netstat -n -a' with a telnet and a ftp session hung: ---- techcic:/root#netstat -n Active Internet connections Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address (State) User tcp 0 28 205.151.116.75:1138 198.168.100.3:21 FIN_WAIT1 root tcp 0 8 205.151.116.75:1125 198.168.100.5:23 FIN_WAIT1 root udp 0 0 127.0.0.1:53 0.0.0.0:0 udp 0 0 205.151.116.75:53 0.0.0.0:0 udp 0 0 207.96.176.10:53 0.0.0.0:0 Active UNIX domain sockets Proto RefCnt Flags Type State Path unix 2 [ ] SOCK_STREAM UNCONNECTED 1279 unix 2 [ ] SOCK_STREAM UNCONNECTED 3429 unix 1 [ ] SOCK_STREAM UNCONNECTED 3902 unix 1 [ ACC ] SOCK_STREAM LISTENING 3905 Tue Jun 18 00:23:45 EDT 1996 techcic:/root# ---- My IP adress is 205.151.116.75
This never happened to me under 1.3...
System is Linux 2.0.0 with libc 5.2.18 & co (no real experimental lib/software) I was using Xinside's XAccel server every timeit happened. System is a P-150, 48 megs RAM, adaptec 2940W with SCSI hard drive. I'm suspecting motherboard defect (waiting for the RMA to get a replacement), but I had no problem with 1.99.14 a few days ago.
Any other information needed ? Oh yeah, net connection is 14.4K PPP connection using slirp.
