Hello,
I have made a new patch set for Microchannel machines. It is available from
http://cacofonix.nt.tuwien.ac.at/~kkudielk/Linux/
and should be installed on top of Linux-pre2.0.5. I have made the following changes to the last complete distribution I am aware of (fourth.tgz from http://www.undergrad.math.uwaterloo.ca/~cpbeaure/mca-linux.html):
1) Small adaptions to make everything compile smoothly. 2) Removed MCA-specific shared interrupt support. SA_SHIRQ is supported in the standard kernel. 3) Modified psaux.c, ps2esdi.c, and 3c523.c to use SA_SHIRQ on MCA machines (this is untested). 4) Removed floppy.c patch, since the standard floppy driver now seems to work even on PS/2 Models 95 (hallelujah).
I have also tried to share IRQ3 between serial.c and ibmtr.c (patches available from web page). Sharing seems to work Ok until I close ttyS1 for the first time. The next Token Ring interrupt then causes the machine to freeze. If you like to do some hacking....
