Other than in mail and news (about 200 times now), neither have I.
I don't believe IBM talks about it for OS/2, either.
The same rule applies to SCSI interfaces: If you have multiple interfaces, the best system throughput is just about always obtained when drives are appropriately scattered over the multiple interfaces, SCSI or IDE. But more so for IDE.
