Subject8-bit sound "fuzzy" with TASD in Linux 1.3.72
Hi,

First of all, I apologize if this issue ts being taken care of.

I have a Sound Blaster 16 which works just fine with Linux
1.2.13, and possibly with Linux versions up to 1.3.45 or so. However, with
Linux 1.3.72, Linus's voice sounds rather distorted and "fuzzy" whenever
I invoke the command:

cat english.au > /dev/audio

I am attaching my /dev/sndstat output. Does anybody know if this is
being worked on?
Thanks again. To all developers: Linux 1.3.72 is great. Keep
up the good work!
