Subject'Socket destroy delayed'/raw socket
Date
I did some more instrumentation in the kernel (extending the printk message
for a bit), and got this in the syslog after pinging a non-responding
local host:

Socket destroy delayed (type=3 r=0 w=804 state=7)

The printk had been changed to

printk("Socket destroy delayed (type=%d r=%d w=%d state=%d)\n",
sk->type, sk->rmem_alloc, sk->wmem_alloc, sk->state);

If there's any more info which could help debug this, drop me a line.

The joy of engineering is to find a straight line on a double
